Alkaline Water Electrolyzer (AWE) is the earliest developed and most mature technology for hydrogen production from electrolyzed water. However, the current mainstream Raney nickel electrode of AWE can hardly meet the requirements of green hydrogen technology for higher energy efficiency and lower cost.
Suzhou BoRui R & D team constantly carry out experiments, the new development of efficient, stable and low-cost ALK electrode materials and components, applied to the ALK hydrogen electrolyzer.
Numerous tests have been carried out to improve the mechanical and chemical stability of the electrodes under operating conditions, as well as the stability and uniformity of the electrodes during large-scale preparation.
◎ The intrinsic activity can be improved by adjusting the electronic structure to optimize the adsorption energy of reaction intermediates, such as heterogeneous atom doping, heterogeneous structure design, amorphization and alloying;
◎ The catalytic activity and stability can be further improved by optimizing the steric structure and surface morphology to enhance the exposure of active sites, accelerating bubble separation and enhancing substance diffusion.
